I've always felt the moon landing was fishy, why haven't we gone back?

You know, despite all the scientific disputes over lights, shadows, crater under the LEM, etc. which are easily explained away, I still feel that the moon landings were awfully fishy.

If he had gone to the moon, why haven't we gone back in 30 years since 1972? That's like Columbus going to the New World and then no one ever returning for 30 years. It makes no sense. If we had gone to the moon, there would be repeated constant trips, a base would be built there by now, or buildings at least, and commercial tour packages would be offered to the general public, etc. Something commercial would have taken over by now, at least in part. Come on now.

And "too expensive" is not a valid explanation. The Iraq War is too expensive too, but Congress always finds a way to fund whatever it wants, regardless of the cost. They can create money out of nothing after all.

Here's another lesser known but interesting documentary called "No man can reach the moon scientifically except NASA"

Why didn't anyone go to the South Pole for more than four decades after Amunsen and Scott? Why hasn't anyone repeated the 1960 voyage of the Trieste to the deepest part of the oceans? Why has the second probe to the planet Mercury only just got there, 35 years after the first? What is this commercial potential of the Moon that should have been unlocked?

Of course "too expensive" is a valid explanation. Congress just doesn't want to return to the Moon. NASA wants to return to the Moon, but in the absence of any public pressure, Congress has seen no motive to give NASA the budget. NASA's budget today is, in real terms, about a quarter of what it was in the days of Apollo. NASA has had to stop the Shuttle programme, have no manned flights for several years, just to scrape the funds together for the new but slow-paced manned lunar programme.

You mean Apollo 17.

But people should do a lot of research on the Apollo program (and the Gemini program for that matter) so that they can come to an informed conclusion about whether the moon landings were real or not. It's hard to take hoax claimants seriously if they don't know basic information like how many Apollo flights there were.

Just saying "it was all fake" isn't really evidence.

You ask why we didn't go back to the moon.

We did go back--five times, in fact! Between 1969 and 1972, men visited the moon a total of six times.

But then Congress decided it didn't want to spend money on moon flights anymore. Sure, they will give money to whatever they want. But they didn't want the moon anymore. Simple.

And all this will be moot anyway, because NASA is currently building and testing the next generation of moon vehicles. Barring unforeseen difficulties, we will be going back--again.

If that's the case, why don't they just completely fix the global financial crisis (or at least the American one) and while they're at it, fix all the other things around the place that are in desperate need for money. What world do you live in? You don't even believe train accidents with cars are possible. Come out of your basement and trying living in the real world for a bit.

Of course man didn't land on the moon. Also Srila Prabhupada said in 1957 that in year 69 will be the first attempt of landing on a moan, which will be hoax. Guess what, it really is a hoax.

reply

Sarcasm? I hope so. Who said what in 1957? What does it matter what someone said 12 years before the first moon landing? That's not any kind of evidence of anything. If you really think the moon landings are a hoax, try providing some sort of supporting statements for it. Not some crazy prediction more than a decade before the landings.

reply

It's not sarcasm.

Srila Prabhupada, a true spiritual master like Jesus Christ who was sent to help us, to teach the truth like other spiritual masters. Scientist were useless against him, when they had conversation against each other and were always very nervous when he was there, because he was so much smarter and because he was speaking the truth and said they didn't land on the moon. He already said in 1957 that man will hoax a moon landing in future.
It was also after that when they said man landed on a moon, he said they didn't it's all fake and filmed in laboratory. Scientist were always so nervous and angry around him.

try providing some sort of supporting statements for it.

Pretty much all scientist who wanted to know the truth about moon landing and are not that corrupted said there is a zero chance they laded on moon. Man didn't land on a moon. They also say that moon landing today is impossible.

Sources? Names of these scientists?

Sounds a grade-A nutter, I'd be nervous if I was in the same room with him.

I was looking for some supporting statements in your post, and still found nothing. Spiritual prediction cannot compete with real science. You're wasting our time.

The moon landings happened as the record shows.
