Respect?!

Sure are a lot of apologies for the roles the Soviets played in this war. Considering the Red Army invaded and occupied the eastern half of Poland 17 days after the Wehrmacht, I don't see why anyone would give Moscow a pass. Less they were conditioned or biased to do so. If WWII began based on Germany's invasion of Poland, why is the USSR's status as an Allie valid? Stalin was an equal partner in starting the war, enabled Hitlers aggressions with raw materiels necessary to conduct war, applauded the French defeat....and boo-hoo, Hitler stabbed Stalin in the back. A very cozy MRP that freed Germany to conquer Western Europe and enabled Stalin to devour the Baltics, wage a war against Finland, take land from Romania, and collude with the Nazis all the way up to June 22, 1941.

So @#$! the respect.

Well, now you got why this movie never went anywhere. It has two big strikes against it: not portraying all Germans in WW2 as totally evil and not deserving of anything, even after the war was over (and all Germans were not Nazis, yes, really.)And the second thing: this shows what the Soviet Commies did to German POWs, more than a decade after the war was over, i.e., after Stalin finally died and went back to hell. All turned into slave labor, rather like what the Russian commies did to their own Russian POWs who were returned to them. They put them in gulags and worked them to death (because Stalin said there was no such thing as a Russian POW; if you were captured by the enemy, it's because you were a traitor.)

The loony left still worships communism, so naturally they aren't going to like any movie that shows exactly how the Soviets treated their POWs. And let's not mention that Stalin and Hitler were allies. I can't tell you how many loony lefties scream when I mention the Molotov-von Ribbentrop Pact, and then when you give them a link to it, you never hear from them again! Kind of like German POWs who went to Stalin's gulags!
