Only problem I have with this movie...

I love this movie. I've been a fan of all of the Mummy franchise films (yes, I'll even admit I'm the geek who liked Tomb of the Dragon Emperor), and this one is no exception.

I'm just wondering if I'm alone in my sole complaint-

This movie was too short for me. It's about 92 minutes- it really could've used an extra 5 minutes or so.

The pace was just a little too quick.

Ex. When Mathyus sees his brother being hit by the arrows, and thinks he's dead- he gives a look of sadness, then suddenly we're at the next scene, where he's cutting into the tent. I really wish there was a quick scene of him mourning in some way. I know he had to continue on with the mission, but they could have at least had a shot of him showing anger, or a 30 second sequence of him reminiscing about their past.

Little things like that.

I'll admit the movie had other problems, but I was able to forgive them easilly. I just wish it was a few minutes longer.

Anyone else agree?

Definitely agree.

Don't forget, there HAVE been scenes deleted JUST for movie length, or wanting to get on with the story.

Eight divided by one-half equals four squared!

There's two things that I don't like about this film. One is the fact that the scenes they cut out would have, in my mind, made the film flow better, because those scenes were actually plot driven, the end where the people fall to their knees and start hailing Mathaylus actually would make sense were the deleted scenes left intact. Every time I watch the film and it gets to the scene between The Sorceress and Memnon where she says "Rivers of blood will never bring peace" line, I can always see the cut and it's a little jarring. I'd really like to see an Extended Cut on Blu-Ray/DVD, but not as a combo pack.

The number two thing that I don't like about the movie, and it's more of a personal flaw than anything else, is the rating, the violence is way too tame to the kind of film it's supposed to be. Parts 2&3 were the same way, and they were DTV, which should have been less restricted in terms of the content since box office numbers weren't a factor.
