I couldn't help but notice the comparisons to the conan films starring Arnold. I mean Dwayne johnson(the rock) has said numerous times that arnold was a person that inspired him and would love to do what he has done. The rock must have looked at this film and gone "yeah this is my 'conan'."

Firstly the time era it is set in, perhaps 12,000 B.C (just guessing). Second the dweeby assistant they have tagging along with them, there personalities were similar as in 'the bad puns', the "hey wait for me" lines.
Thirdly the way the scorpion king nearly dies but gets saved by the sorcerer's magic. There's proberly a few more i haven't thought of but no hate for this film I like conan so why not like this film too.. even if there is no 'real' start to the film, it just dives straight in.

this movie is a crappy version of conan the barbarian. even destroyer is better then this, and i haven't even seen this.
