Anybody else notice?

I've been through several pages and haven't seen this, so forgive me if it's been asked.

Did anybody else notice that the guards in red hats are wearing the same red hats as the people in The Mummy Returns? That means that the cult has existed for thousands of years, but haven't always worshipped Imhotep.

I'd like to know how they went from being guards of a kind to being Imhotep worshippers.
