Royale Watkins as Jimi Hendrix

Royale Watkins' portrayal of Jimi Hendrix was fantastic. This little film offers a welcome walk down memory lane during an exciting period of Rock and Roll history. Wadkins plays Hendrix just as I would have imagined him. Bravo!
I wish this film would receive enough support and demand to catch the attention of Hollywood, as it deserves to be seen by all fans of Rock and Roll. Don't know if it will ever be available in US video stores, but I am glad I found it on Amazon. Wish I could see more of Mr. Wadkins in the future.

I got this from Netflix March 2011
I lived in these times, in my youth and found this to be such a good, fun movie to watch. Youre right Royal Watkins was fantastic as Jimi Hendrix.
I felt a bit like I was watching one of those old Monkee's TV shows. Everything was so zany. Yet, the movie is loaded with famous look alike music people.
Moody Blues - Justin & John, Donovan, Brian Jones, Mama Cass, Jim Morrison,The Beatles, Frank Zappa.. Some not even good impressions, but that all added to the campy humor of the movie.
I saw Flo & Eddie with Steven Stills and Neil Young..all as one band. UCLA in the mid 70's . What a fun night that was. Happy time. They didnt do Elinore, which I was surprised. Thats my favorite song of the Turtles
