My Dinner with Jimi should really get a DVD release. To my understanding, it's only been viewed at a few film festivals and that's about it. No wide release or anything, so there aren't a lot of people who've gotten to see the film. Me personally, being a fan of Howard Kaylan and the Turtles, as well as Jimi Hendrix, id definitely love to see this film. If it can't get a wide DVD release, maybe a limited amount of copies could be produced and Howard could sell them through his official website.

I guess im just really interested in seeing this film. Hopefully it'll become more widely available for viewing, one way or another, so more people (such as myself) can see it.

Netflix indicates the DVD will be available on June 23rd. 2009

And now I find out that it's been available in Canada since Nov 2008 (?) - @ amazon.ca
But at least with Netflix, etc. it will get a decent audience....

I grabbed a torrent. GREAT film. But I still want to buy some copies. GREAT film!!

so does the dvd contain both versions of the film? I loved the film, but the footage Rhino added to pad it out to feature length is a bit distracting and slows things down a ton... I would love to see the original short!!
Otherwise, like I said, I love it.

funny... the header on imdb says this film covers Howard and Mark's career up to their solo act as Flo & Eddie... which it does not, sadly!
