Just watched Inugami. Darn fine film, bloody marvious. Bit of a ambiguous ending but tink I get it. The Mimoto, the Hunter tries to shoot Akria to stop Miki leaving the village. Akira is his 1000th beast. But Akira is not dead why?.

If you think about it does kind of make sence. rember why the Bonomiya are slain
it's not just because of the curse but the reborn ansestor, mix Blood with blood Akira & Miki's baby. But hold on who 's Akira's father? Takanao? isn't he Miki's Brother that should mean that Akira is the ansetors reborn?
This could explain why the hunter shot him and why he didn't die and why Miki ( slave of the Inugami ) left the ritual with him rather than die with Takanao, Or may be it's just the baby who's the reborn ansetors. either way the Inugami saved him.

I did like the Miki's dog licking ,no i'm not being smutty.....arrr sorry just got lost there. Rember Inugami translates to "dog god". So you could see it just as dog's licking a wound or as part of the magical healing process.

I defiintly think that Miki and Akira escaped as it's what the Inugami wanted to live again through them. even if they fail there's still Rika and Seiji to carry on.
