First of all I really like this film.
Who shot the main character in the ending sequence? Was that one of his three Jr. High friends that he couldn't hang out with anymore?
I always just figured it was a mate of the guy Kris shot.
shareThe person who shot Kris, the main character in the ending sequence, is the same rival gang member dressed in red who confronted Kris earlier in the film when Kris and his Mom drove passed him after church. As listed in the ending credits, Kris' Killer/Rival in Red was played by Lil' Skrappy.
shareYup exactly, He even warned Kris that he would kill him the next time he drove/walk by. The rival gang member was in no way working with the guy Kris shot. But Kris had a target on his back since the beginning of the film.
