What's keeping this film from the Top 250?

IMDb seems to be biased against some films.

No idea but it should definitely be in there.

I said exactly same in my post here.
Some films have the same rating from smaller number of voters and they are in Top 250.
Throne of Blood (1957) has the same 8.1 rating, and just over 32,000 votes (currently), but it is in Top 250.
It seems like IMDb considers this film anti-American, so they prevent it from getting more attention.

Also, Von Trier or his actors never got any major American award nominations for his films after Dogville.
I get that Antichrist and Nymphomaniac are "too much art-house" for American Academy, but Melancholia could have got at least two nominations - best leading actress Kirsten Dunst and best achievement in Art Direction.
