One of those artsy films


It's a film of a play. One of those artsy plays. Very disturbing, with symbolism and deep meaning, if one chooses to look at it that way.

But the acting is superb, particularly Kidman. One thing you can say about Kidman: when she plays a role, she IS that character 110%. (She sings, too!) Wonderful actress.

I love that James Caan is her father. In that one scene, his weight as an actor is keenly felt. An underrated actor.

Very strange film. Not my cup of tea. I think it's a bit pretentious. But I must say the end is gratifying.
