Do the other 'Cirque du Soleil'-productions by Mallet have so many cuts?
I watched it and I wanted to stop watching very often, because the movie is made sooo bad - but I kept watching cos of the great show. The directing and especially the cutting work is very nervuos and I couldn't enjoy the show very much. At least it provided a reason to see it live - that's a marketing idea!
I really liked the tricks, artists and the show, but the screening doesn't deliver 30% of what it could. I don't say "the show is so great - no screening can deliver what it does when seen live" but I mean that the directing and cutting and so are not the way I would like to see it. I bet there are about 500 cuts in the 90 minutes and it lets the show look like a Jackie Chan movie with all this slowmotions and fast cuttings and zooms, not like a circus-experience at all.
BTW:
Is there an epileptical warning on the box?
