Ridiculously underrated!

Looks like many expected to see a John Wayne flick with some fantasy elements. It couldn't be further away from those things. Blueberry is about shamanism. Pure and simple. And it is the best movie (not documentary) about this subject.

I just finished watching it and still can't believe that it has 29% at Rotten Tomatoes... unbelieveble, what a great film. A film that answers the question: What if Terrence Mallick would direct a western about shamanism?

Really, really good.

Totally agree, but I'm not too surprised. Films like this will only ever truly be appreciated by a small percentage of the population. This isn't for mass consumption as the majority general equals the lowest common denominator in taste and substance. I'm thankful that films like this get made at all, as the money men know these type of films will never be truly appreciated or understood in their time. I feel in 10, 20 years this film will have a huge cult following and as society catches up it'll eventually be seen as groundbreaking and ahead of its time. Just my opinion but I have hope in the future of humanity, of course its possible we could go down the Idiocracy road, if we do then film appreciation will be the last of our worries.
