He's a boy from Lousiana who travels West with his uncle to "become a man". After his first encounter with Wally he wanders the desert in a state of shock until he's rescued by the Natives. Years later he becomes a Marshal.
Okay. Two questions: What happened with the uncle? and, How did Mike become Marshal? I thought the movie was great (except for the ending with the CGI creepy crawlers) but they leave too much stuff in the dark.
In the comic, the town is in need of a new marshal since the old one fled and they sent a request to the closest military base (Fort Navajo) requesting one. Bluebery's lieutenant wanted to get rid of him and sent him there as a Marshal

Well Mike goes to this town and find the people there really scared, it's basically like a normal western movie but it's really good.
Mike gets this drunk guy as his Helping hand and this teacher is the only one who wants to help but Mike won't let her since shes a girl and all.
Mike actually does some impact, almost kills the bad guy and run them out of town and even makes a law that no guns are allowed, although later on they kidnap the school teacher, Mike kills them all and finally the state sends then a real marshall so Mike goes back to fort Navajo.
It's a great comic, it's the 2nd adventure ever for him and it's the only adventure in the series that was only one single album.
