you see this amazing movie. (Well, apart from this) It's easily one of the most powerfully emotional films - Asian or otherwise - I have ever seen. Its plot moves in directions that will astound you but that's all you should know before you view.
I only discovered the lead actress had committed suicide after seeing the film which added a heart-breaking poignancy to the film in hindisght.
I followed you're advise and did not read anything about it. I heard that it is great and saw it this evening. If I would have read something about the story before I would'nt have bought it.
It is a great movie with beautiful pictures, fantastic actors and a story which makes you think. Brilliant!
Yes, easily my favourite Asian film of all time and, at the risk of over-doing it, it’s not far off being my favourite film of all time. Period. Think I’ve seen it about eight or nine times.
