haunt everyone on the boat if only two of them killed him that night! whats the meaning of his haunting to the crew and the rest who didnt take part of his murder this things doesnt make sense? hehehe. the ghost should have haunt thoose two murderers instead of all the people on the subs.. which in the first place doesnt even know if he(the real CAP of the sub) was murdered..

if there was a ghost (and not just a lack of oxygen induced hallucination) it was stated that the captain (ghost) came back to go down with the ship.........ooooooo spoooooooky

It was also stated (possibly by a liar) that he captain also verified the identity of the ship that was to be torpedoed. Since he was partially responsible for the British carnage, fate would require him to come back and plant his own ship next to the one that he erroneously destroyed.
If he had Gieko, he would not have to pay a dime. But that is hindsight, and no periscope has that.

The ghost only was responsable for the death of the three who killed him. The rest of the crew were killed in an accident not caused by the ghost.
