I love this movie.

This had a hell of a big effect on me, back when I was 12. Mainly because I was feeling a little bit like another version of Marcus, not that my mum was depressed or anything, my mum was actually happily married to my dad, and she was good. WHY THE HELL AM I TALKING ABOUT MY MUM ??
Anyway, I kind of grew up watching this movie every year, and Marcus is so interesting, and very relatable at some points, and the fact that he wants to make his mum so happy is so inspiring, something that never fails to amaze me even after 6 years. This movie just leaves you having one hell of a load of questions, about yourself, your mum, some backup people.

Nice. 

I can't really relate to Marcus' story in such a deep way now (too old; and had a relatively 'normal' home life). Aside from the Hellish school loneliness. Will's story is another situation entirely. The prospect of growing up 'blank' and with nothing and nobody meaningful in your life is a scary prospect indeed. 

Cracking movie, anyway.
