A guy like Will wouldn't go thru the dating rituals.

A guy like Will would just have an Escort Service on Speed-Dial .

"Men don't paid for sex with hookers, men paid for them to leave afterward." - Charlie Sheen.

Maybe he doesn't fancy hookers. Maybe he enjoys the act of charming woman without paying for it.

Also he's British. For all we know his family were old school prim and proper and on some level they rooted in him a sense that that'd be nasty and wrong. Not everyone who has money actually likes hookers.

Pretending that he got a kid so he can hit on single mothers is not a very honest/honourable way to charm or woo a woman for easy sex. No man enjoyed the dating rituals.

What does honesty or honour have to do with anything?

If I got to explain it then you won't get it.. Remember, this was b4 there's such a thing as a hook-ups appz like Tinder.lol
He just wanted easy sex but he still gotta go thru the dating rituals.

He wanted something, but I think its more complicated. He liked the idea of a person but as soon as it became an actual thing he pushed it away. If he just wanted sex there were easier ways to get it.

Getting sex was Will's top priority, at least in the beginning of the film, but when he spoke about the advantages of dating Angie, the single mother that Will's friend Christine set him up with, he included getting "lots of ego massage". Being as self-centered as he is, perhaps he wanted to be adored for a while before breaking up and finding someone new to sleep with. He seemed to want at least some of the benefits of having a relationship, while avoiding a long-term commitment at the same time.

I think he liked the idea of a relationship... And somehow felt that he should date 'properly'.
Like everything else in his life before he met Marcus it was empty and meaningless tho.
It also gave him something to do to fill the emptiness!

reply

He liked the idea of it but then couldn't actually see it through
