i remember when the show came out i saw my the first episode and fell in love with the show it was happy and sad all in one very realistic and a really enjoyable show i hate the fact that it was canceled

reply

Yeah I know. I really love the show still. Its still the best show ever. I find my self missing it alot these days. tv has really gone downhill. it was the best. The opening scean of ep1 love, love me do with hannah walking up to school and the voice over comeing in. its just classic the best. "Thats me Hannah Rayburn, 12 years old and feeling sorry for my self". GREAT ;)

reply

Yes, I honestly fell in love with this show extremely fast.
I didn't know about it till one day when I was flipping through channels and this show caught my eye. Then I got busy and missed like a month or so(I had stuff to do at the times it was on) then I went to watch it again and I couldnt find a single trace of it. I was completley torn! I hardly remember any of the episodes except one about the chair? and teh fabric of it.
-when grace pulled the thing off of their house (the jewish ornament or what not)
-when hannah was invited to a party and told her mom that she needed to bring a cock tire

Love love loooved it. I miss this show. I'm going to sign the petition everyone. Keep your fingers crossed*

does anyone else think that this show was kinda like the 90s/00s version of The wonder years?

reply

Dude, I was just going to post that. That's exactly what I thought. The first thing that made me thing that when watching it is of course the overlaying of the older Hanna's voice as narrarator just like Kevin had in The Wonder Years. That's the first thing, and the second thing is the age of the character and the fact that it's retro to a degree for those watching it. And then there is the soundtrack of great old radio hits. I'm pretty sure all of those were aspects of the Wonder Years show as I recall. It was like the new Wonder Years only with a girl character instead of a boy and a few decades earlier.

It was a wonderful show with the potentail to run for years as the girls grew up. Perfect for the whole family to watch and enjoy with good story lines and poignant as well as funny moments. But family channel doesn't cater to FAMILIES now do they (have you SEEN their new shows?!?) God forbid we should have wholesome and substantial entertainment.

reply

Dude. Tell me about it. If this show had stayed on longer, it could have been as popular as the Wonder Years. Unfortunately for those of us with REAL TASTE, it was cancelled unceremoniously to be replaced with Olsen Twin crap.

Your quote; it's from "My Girl". Man, that's one of my favorites! ! !

I LOVE this show! Why did they have to cancel this show? TV today has TOO many reality shows. This had to be one of the best shows out there. If it came out on DVD today, I would run down to the store and buy it.

Right here right now you are going to face justice

reply

I second that if it came out I get it in a flash. it was such a wonderful show. great cast great storys. i still want to know what happened to grace and hanna. and do you thik tattie ever got married?

reply

It is kinda of like a version of the wonder years. that's probably why i thought it brilliant! because i loved the wonder years. i miss STATE OF GRACE!

reply

I remember it came out when I was 9 or 10 years old (I'm 15 now.) I watched the first episode and I was hooked. I never missed an episode after that. I was devasted when they canceled it, and I still think about it sometimes. They really need to put it out on DVD.

This was one of the best shows ever. I really miss it. It's so much better then most of the crap that's on tv today.

Dude, I loved this show to death. I started watching when I was 9 or 10 years old (I'm 14 now), and I would come home from school, and start watching the show. I was so sad when they canceled it. I miss this show. It's much better than the crap they show on TV nowadays.

Yea does anyone know where you can watch episodes online?
I tried YouTube, and I found nothing.

You promised me starry night skies, but they just remind me of your shining bright eyes.

This was a great TV Show!

reply

Just throwing my two cents in. I loved the show as well. I remember watching it when it first came out, and when season two started, I found out that one of my friends at school liked it as well. I remember talking with her about the show; it was great. And then the show was canceled, and I was completely lost. I can't believe it's now in the TV wasteland. Most shows today, even if they only last a season or two, get put out on DVD. This show and Jack & Bobby are two of the most deserving shows to get the DVD treatment. I hope they do, someday. I don't even care if they have special features!
