i know it's been a while, but does anyone have any idea why they cancelled this show? i thought it was a great show especially for younger girls who were different from their friends one way or another. they should make new eppys with the girls all grown up and going to college, but even then it would have to be set in the 70's.

It got canceled as shows do: brilliant show airs on a mainstream network, people don't get the fabulous point, show gets the axe. It's a damn shame, 'cause this show was great.
shareAs I recall it got axed because the channel was taken over by Disney and it did not fit into their image of what they wanted the channel to be.
What is puzzling though is the lack of a DVD release.

Yes, Disney still owns the channel. It's a shame because I loved this show when I was I was growing up.

I know ABC Family airs that crappy show, The Secret Life of the American Teenager. That is such a horribly written and acted show! State of Grace was such a great show, so cute!
