What if the Male to female people in movie...

walked around spitting or grabbing crotches or play fighted with eachother in womens clothes?? People would be shocked and say what's the point, they still act like men? Robert and Maxwell acted so feminine! They wanted to be men and not feminine or girls at all but:
1)Asked to dance with eachother and gave kisses on lips for permission??
2)Saying to eachother how they are intimate with each other?
3)Were still with the opposite sex basically? If it's just a mental thing and say its not about what's between you legs or whatever, then why did they have surgery? It's just about what's inside they say. It should'nt be about you chest then. Your chest does not make you a man or woman then.

Very good people inside and out BUT again if the male to females were acting like total men but just in dresses, everyone would SO be questioning it. Because only Cas acted like a man really.

Shame though that Robert could not be treated out of people just being dumb. It's a vagina, you know what it is and what to do,help fix it.

I wondered about that too. I could just see Lola and Cory sitting on a messy couch watching TV, drinking beer and belching with their feet up. People would be so quick to say they're still acting like men. And I can't imagine them doing that because they acted like such "ladies".

I agree that Cas was the most passable transman of all of them.

I just found out that Maxwell had died. I had no idea. I felt so bad about it. RIP Max.

I re-watched this yesterday on DVD and I had totally forgotten about that. It's towards the end of the film, and ironically, right before this, Robert says how when he (then a she) was married to his sons' father that was the only time he really felt like a homosexual because - he states - he was always a heterosexual male. Funny, but I haven't seen too many heterosexual males kissing each other on the lips. Maybe they do it in secret, LOL!

Saying to eachother how they are intimate with each other?

Actually they never said they were intimate with each other, but Robert mentions how Maxwell doesn't know intimacy, or have it with Cori. It was mostly about he or Cori's sexual lifestyle.

ALSO, when watching the DVD extras there was several important factors that were left off the documentary itself. For instance Robert says he knew he was sick months prior but felt he was only "marking time" and wasn't that enthused about living anyway after a five year relationship had ended. It was his friend, Debbie, that actually coerced him to go to the hospital. They also mentioned that Robert didn't have health insurance, which was another reason he was turned away. Not solely because he was a transsexual. I know that this does happen because I have a cousin who has liver disease and he too was, at first, turned away because he had no insurance. He nearly died. I'm not sure if he ever got Medicaid, but he still does work and attend college...which I didn't think you could do while being on public aid. I assume Robert was receiving this too, but it was never pointed out.

They did say they were intimate with each other:
Maxwell: "Isn't our relationship intimate"
Robert : "Yes we are, but it's a different intimacy"

They really did totally act like total women in mens clothes and short hair. Only Cas was the real man it seemed. I agree with you guys ,if it was Lola and Cori acting like men, it would've been really talked about.

The funny thing is I always thought Thomas Beatie the Pregnant Man acts like a woman too. If you've seen documenatries & interviews with him you'll see what I mean.

"Gender" and "Sex" are different. Look up "two-spirit." It may help you understand more about gender identity.

Yeah if that's to me, I know gender and sex are two different things. I think most people do these days.

Was just a point that you ALWAYS see that MTF transexuals never act like men. Almost all these FTM transexuals in the movie acted like women. Most people have commented on here and other boards over the years about it.
