hard to watch

so many people smoking cancer sticks. i guess if you have to die of something, it may as well be the big C. corrupt doctors or not, cancer seemed a warmly embraced certainty. doesn't smoking increase the risk of female cancers too?!?

reply

Yep. It's supposed to increase the risk of all types of cancers. And the excessive smoking in this film was pretty distracting.

Yup, I saw them smoking and it didn't bother me a bit. Smoking has been going on in life for thousands of years and has been in movies for over a hundred. Never been distracting.

Who the heck zones in on, OMG they're smoking, smoking, smoking! OMG, they're smoking, smoking, smoking! They're smoking, smoking, smoking! LOL What the heck, who cares?! Watch the movie.

P.S. "It's SUPPOSE to increase all types of cancers"? Ummm, it's 2011. IT DOES increase all types of cancers. But its not distracting umless raised to be a picker.

Not distracing at all. Grow up. Notice no one cares about drinking in movies or shows. It causes colon cancer, liver disease, stomach cancer, etc. Smoking was not distracting one bit. Watch the movie.

These dumb ass sheep these days can't help but find whats "bad" distracting. Like you said they have no problem watching people drink themselves to death but smoking thats a cardinal sin. The media told them something and they can't think for themselves is all.

reply

I experienced it the same way. Seems like just about EVERY SINGLE TIME someone was on camera, they were smoking. But we're supposed to care that someone's dying of cancer - when they don't care they're smoking?!

Nobody smokes all the time (I don't think so anyway). I wondered a few times if the filmmaker did this deliberately, or maybe the people just got anxious when the camera was in their face and always chose to smoke at those times?

Yeah, I did find it distracting.

If he had lung cancer instead of ovarian cancer, it wouldnt be a such a controversial issue for treatment because the lung is not gender-specific organ....
I wonder if "Chaz" in Hollywood still has pap smears to keep up with his female organs? Must be awkward -a "man" on an exam table.
