Does people still play The Sims 1?

I do. I go back and forth between 1 and 3. I do like 2, but mostly for building.

Since it doesn't work on my computer, and I have to use my really old computer before I can play, I don't play it as much as I would like to. But I still play it more than I play TS2 and TS3 (or at least just as much).

Not really. I did install it in a Virtual Machine running XP recently, it's cool until the nostalgia goes I find. The Sims 2 I will still play, it's still a very good game and a worthy successor to the original.

Yes, I still play it. I get nostalgic and as I start playing it, I remember how open it felt with a world of unlimited possibilities. I love the later Sims games, too, but the first one will always hold a place in my heart. In this one, I just played and was my most creative and experimental. Too often, the focus in Sims 2 became building for future generations. In Sims 1, my Sims and I lived in the crazy, wacky, silly now. This game truly deserves the title of Best Game Ever.
