Why didn't they go back to the market?

****Spoiler****

When Gieu discovered that Jian had his bicycle, Jian claimed that he bought it from the market.

Yet it didn't occur to anyone to get Jian to take them to the market stall where he bought the bike, as fistly it would back up his claim, and secondly they could find out where the stall holder got it from.

why didn't he (the migrant worker) tell them immediately that the bike was his, that he marked it and that it got stolen?
or when he met them in front of his company (how heck did they found out, by the way? he wasn't wearing any of his company's clothes when he was getting his bike back), why didn't he just call his boss or anybody from the company to show the guys that "maybe all the employees of the company have the SAME bike, so he might be right"

God, this film sucked so bad.

"What if there is no tomorrow? there wasn't one today...!"

They established that he was the owner of the bike in the end and i'm sure he just panicked when he saw all of them in front of his work place hence turning around and running.

Basically giue being the owner of the bike wasn't in dispute, Jian on the other hand didn't steal it. He bought it from the flea market hence his family's money being gone. So that's why they did the 50-50. All it takes is a little attention.
