omg.. i almost cried at that part too! that exact part.. but i held back cause my brother was in the room and i didn't wanna seem so emotional over that part.. cause to him.. it was a "pointless movie"

reply

I didn't cry but it was so real. I just watched in silence.

I didn't really cry, it takes a lot to make me cry actual tears in movies, and it depends on my emotional state. But I was really cheerful that day, and I randomly started watching this film. I loved the movie, but that scene made me really sad, because like Naruto said, it was so real.

i kinda cryed at the ending part, where he just got up and left with the bike and had sort of the "...look at me..." justaxoposation in front of the other bikers

Funny? In what way?

It was so sad, to see that all his devotion to his bicycle culminated in him being beaten senseless for no reason other than his love and attachment to his bicycle. I cried when he was wailing as the guy was smashing his bike, he almost didn't care if they beat him up for no reason, as long as they didn't touch his bicycle.

i dont usually cry in movies, consedering that movies today dont have much emotion, but the acting in tha scene was beautifuly done. The emotion was so real, and all because he knew he wouldnt be able to work anymore. The fact that the movie revolved around something as simple as a bike(i know im sure there is symbolism in it)made the scene even more intense!

reply

i didn't cry, i was more angry, how can those teenagers be so, well, evil?

reply

Sweet Jesus......if I ever knew a guy like Guei and he was begging some kid to stop destroying his bike, I'd help him beat the crap out of that kid. Seriously, I can't even describe how much that kid pissed me off. What was the point of wrecking his bike anyway? It's one of the few things in life he's ever come to love, and some guy just wrecks it. Douchebag

reply

I didn't get emotional for the obvious empathy we were all supposed to feel with Guei..

I was more like so happy to be able to watch a movie like that, and to know that there are people doing movies like that in the other side of the world... That's it, I was so happy about that I almost cried!

I'm not one to condone violence but... Oh, how that kid deserved that rock on the back of his head!

Now I'm almost crying when I started to think how long will it take until Cinemark begins to show this kind of movies...

reply

i didn't cry, but damn i was I depressed for guei!

that part was so sad.

reply
