I felt for the husband, Dan, but his character's incredible inability to act (as oppose to being acted upon) was very frustrating. At times he couldn't even speak!!!
After awhile, I had no idea what his motivations or thoughts even were anymore. I couldn't tell whether he wanted the Frenchwoman or not; it was too fuzzy for this American. The rest of the movie was very enjoyable though. What do you think?
Of course he wanted her, but he didn't got through with it because he felt guilty about the idea of cheating on his wife, then he ended up getting a blow job from someone he wasn't even interested in without really trying. Irony, the British disease...
