Clever plot construction

At first it was a little confusing, but after awhile I appreciated the intricate way the plot was sort of knitted together. It made more and more sense as the film progressed, and I found myself saying "Aha!" more than once. Clever, imaginative writing, and of course, Bill Nighy was amazing as always. Actually he was the reason I borrowed the film to begin with. He is just too funny for words, even when he is supposed to be serious. Now that's acting.

The first time I saw it, I couldn't quite follow it; I felt a little confused when it suddenly started from the beginning again. However, on rewatching it, I could appreciate the interweaving storylines and how carefully they were constructed.

I agree that Bill Nighy is brilliant. I love the first scene especially, with the "How do I tell if I'm depressed?" dialogue. His acting is really intense. However, my favourite performances in the film were Tom Hollander and Sukie Smith. The scenes with both Bill and Tom together are just fantastic.

I think I need mental help. I feel happy... I am just not equipped.
