I love Douglas Henshall ......but.......

I thought he sounded like Michael Caine as played by Dick van Dyke in Mary Poppins.

I never understand why directors persevere with actors attempting accents they just can't do. Either let them do it in an accent they can get their mouth around or, if that isn't possible for the part, don't give them the part.

In my opinion, a good actor playing a part with a bad accent will ruin a film far more than a less accomplished actor without the failing accent would.
