Diana and Jesper Kyd, questions for those who've played

I came into this series in part 2: Silent Assassin, which is one of my favorite games of all time.

With talk of the movie coming out, and having played through 3 (I'm working my way through 4 now) I have a few backstory questions for those who've been here from the beginning.

First, Does Diana play a prominent part in this story? Vivienne McKee, who did the voice for later games, isn't credited. Is this an oversight? Was diana in the first game, and if so did she have the same voice/role she does in later game?

Second, is the music for the first game composed by Jesper Kyd, who did the music for the rest of the series? How does the music in the first game compare to later developments?

Thanks

You get briefings from Diana, but they are text only. I think her name is Diana Burnwood as well.

Yes, Jesper Kyd did compose the music but there are 3 songs on the soundtrack in which Pierre Földes is involved. "End Boss" is done by Pierre Földes. "47 Makes a Decision" and "The Setup" were composed by both Pierre Földes and Jesper Kyd. Every other song in the series in done by Jesper Kyd.

EDIT: oops my mistake those three songs involving Pierre Földes were from Silent Assassin which is on the same soundtrack (Hitman: Codename 47 & Hitman 2: Silent Assassin Original Soundtrack)

oh and I think Codename 47s music is awesome, maybe even better than the others, especially the main theme

Jesper Kyd is very talented and all his works are awesome

Hitman was one of the first games to commission an entire orchestra to score the soundtrack (the Budapest Symphony Orchestra).

yup, that Hitman Codename 47's main title theme is beyond awesome.

I liked the main title from Silent Assassin too-very grand like an epic movie or something...
