The Good Old Days

This may the the best mst3k short ever, but they did run into prime
material with this one. No wonder my folks were so screwed up, they got
shown THIS kind of drivel every day. Well, at least I got the last
laugh thanks to Mike and the bots.

The missus was unenthused when I tried to interest her in MST3K, but this short did the trick: "Emotions are for ethnic people!"

Not just the funniest short but maybe the funniest thing MST ever did. With no word of exaggeration I've never laughed so hard at anything before or since, I thought I was going to die.

"Their stomachs knotted like fists!"

"Why are you wearing that stupid man suit?"

reply

"Watch him play buttler."
"...In 'Remains of the day'."

"You keep him in here, and make sure HE dosen't leave!"

Crow: God, take me now!

Narrator: The women of this family seem to feel that they owe it to the men of the family to look relaxed, rested and attractive at dinner time.
Mike: ...So they're unsuspecting when they kill them.

Narrator: "Brother seats mother as though she were his best girl."
Mike: "The less said about this, the better!" XD ah, the overtones of incest made this film!

Narrator: "The boys greet their father as though they are genuinely glad to see him."
Mike; "They're not, of course." Hee hee. Pretend to care!

And at the beginning, as the title credit comes up on the screen: "The Woody Allen story!" I laughed so hard i almost hurt myself!
