I'm sorry but I see a resemblence between Mad Jack and Edmund Blackadder from the second series.
If they were to ever make a live action movie of Mad Jack, they should get Rowan Atkinson.

there even the same jokes,and for those who don't know Blackadder was approx ten years before this
yeah, altough I like Mad Jack, it's a total rip-off. there's also an evil knight called Percy, the whole 'god bless you' episode where snuck pretends to be Jack and vice versa is stolen and some of Jacks remarks are almost completely copied.

that is because the writer ( bill kop ) was heavily inspired by blackadder and loved the show, acording to a FAQ about the show.
