I like the fact that it's so many genres in one. It's a gore/zombie/apocalyptic/ martial arts/super powers/cool gun knife & sword fights combo, with past, present and future eras all rolled into one non-stop action movie! It's like a video game, live action movie and anime all in one. On top of that, as shallow as the storyline seems, it's got more depth & facets than any other movies like it.

I can't understand your crazy moon language.
Not forgetting that it was made (at the time) for the equivalent of about US$2000, and is one of the most anti-cliche movies ever (love the parts where the chick is knocked out before a fight, instead of just spectating, or shouting (minus one of the scenes)
Also for the budget, it looks a lot better than several $50 million movies I've seen.
