Is Versus that good?

I love martial arts movie, i love japanese traditional culture, and i heard this movie is great, but does it? I just watch Death Trance, and i tough it was bad... really bad. BUT the fights where nice, its the nonsense story and characters that pissed me off.

In the reviews lots of people say VERSUS is pretty good, and they liked it despite not liking death trence, so should i watch VERSUS? I got Death Trence out of nowhere in a video club sale... i didn't hunt for it... costed 5$... So im wondering should i hunt for VERSUS or not...
