Three Kinds of Evil

I found that each character was a different version of evil. Vincent, obviously, is the most noticably evil. He is a detestable person. Stoner, Drunk, self-richeous, and an assh0le even to his lifelong friend. Amy is the complete opposite. She would dismiss the fact that she was raped in order to retain the spotless image of herself. (I draw this from the way Amy carries herself in the film. I find the things she says are slightly pompous; slightly arrogant at both John and Vince) John is a mix of both extremes. When he was younger he was Vincent's evil, now that he is older, he is Amy's evil. While his evil is obvious during his younger years, his later evil is more discreet. He chooses to forget that he raped Amy by rationalizing it. He makes himself think it was just rough sex until Vincent forces the truth out of him. This lie is John's way of thinking he is spotless. You can see this by the way he lectures Vincent on the way he SHOULD live his life as if he is so much better. John becomes a good person by the end of the movie when he realizes his wrongdoing. Does anyone else see the characters as three kinds of evil?

Sure. That's one way of thinking about it. You could also see the characters as three kinds of 'good'. After all, each of them are seeking something that is ultimately 'good' - they may just have to humiliate some people to achieve that ultimate goodness that they were originally striving for.
