How did Paul Manion not win an Oscar???

This movie was remarkable. First of all, I dont know how it only made $70,066 in the United States. Its one of my top five all time easily However the one quam I have with this movie is this: I dont know how Paul Manion was overlooked and didnt even receieve a nomination for his role as 'carjack victim'! I mean, I understand its a small role. I am not saying he should be up for best actor or anything. But at least he should get a nod for best supporting actor. Did you see how real his response was when his car was being jacked??? Brilliance! I've never seen anyone keep it more real...not even the great Nelly himself (I know I know, I didnt think it was possible either). I cant believe we havent seen this amazing man in more blockbusters since Snipes. YOu heard it hear first folks. Within five years I believe Manion will be up there with such greats as Eastwood, Hanks and Cruise. Until then, WE WANT MORE MANION!

I have insider knowledge of Manion's performance in Snipes...and it's not surprising that an oscar nod was not in the cards... i heard he came to the set completely unprepared for the role.... and in fact was seen wandering around carrying a coffee urn just a few minutes before he was due on camera (whatever that was about!) I also heard he was asked to hold a walkie talkie, which apparently he used to recieve instructions from the director... doesn't speak well about his ability to to take instructions... overall his performance was amatuer hour at best .... a crew member could have probably done better.

I always heard he didn't get an award cuz he ate used toilet paper and wouldn't give any to anyone else.
