I missed this show the first time round, watching it almost 7 years later I can see I didn't miss much.

Atrocious acting, the male lead was a whipped whiner, and his wife was spoilt and annoying. If America is full of couples like that then your future is gonna be a bad one.

But better than bad idea, poor execution (or even good execution). Which is what the vast majority of content is by comparison.
