Is this movie any good?

I recently rented a copy of the beleiver and in the extras was a preview of "The Last Minute", I couldnt help but be curious as the trailer was a montage of bizarre images but tells me nothing about the movie, is movie worth a look?

Hard to give a clear answer to that question, you know.

It all depends on your tastes. With any movie, almost as many people can
love it that hate it.

This one though...i can tell you, i really liked it.
It was very different than your standard Hollywood cookie-cutter movie.
That alone is worth the viewing.

Max Beesly is great in this. He really pulls his character together well,
and wether you like Billy or not, he plays him brillantly.

Some people dont like this type of film, but i think it's one that you'll
always remember.

Check it out. Can't hurt to know.
Then come back to the board and discuss.

It's not that I'm lazy, it's that I just don't care.

I saw the preview for this during The Believer as well and it looked very interesting. I couldn't find it anywhere to rent so I bought it on a long shot for some ridiculous amount. I was not disappointed. It was too good.

I just happened to catch it one night on like HBO or something.
Late night...wasn't really in the mood for anything...and we just
flipped this on.

But the very opening monolouge got us hooked, and we were intensly watching
it for the whole thing.

Very cool flick.

Caught a scene while flipping. Turned off by the "ultra-violence." Reminded me (in that way) of A Clockwork Orange.

What say there, Fussy Britches? Feel like talking?

If only to see Jason Isaacs as Percy, singing, dancing, and sledghammering his way through life.

^ Hi there,

Just read your posts. :) It seems you changed your mind on the film after a few viewings, so that's cool. Sometimes it takes a while to warm up to a flick.

This just wan't my cup of tea. I generally like films that subvert conventions, but I'm not in a hurry to sit through this one, again.

Not flaming you, of course. Happy you enjoyed it.

Quick question, though:

" It's funny, weird, and has a passionate message."

What do you feel the message is? Again, not baiting you or anything, just curious to see what others got out of it that I might have missed.

Best,
GB
