The hacker's accent?

Does anyone know specifically what time of accent he had? A certain type of british/scottish/welsh?

If that helps.

He's south african, but the accent he was portraying was a certain type of british or something. Thanks, though.

Yeah, I know. Wasn't sure if any other characters he played had a similar accent that you may be able to research deeper, as the "hacker" wasn't exactly a highlight of the movie and as a result isn't really subject of much discussion.

It was a slightly dodgy London accent.

That's what I was thinking, but I looked it up, and it was different. Oh, well. :)

I'm not sure what it was myself, but it's the sole reason why I prefer watching the movie in subs over dubbing. The VA's voice just didn't fit the character and it just really bothers me, not quite sure who to blame tho since this seemed to be a quicker dubbing than compared to the series and he might not have had time to fully get into the character.

I think Wintermute91 nailed it, it's supposed to be a British-London accent.
