Vincent is based on Bob Dylan?!
This item was added in the trivia section:
The character, Vincent, is based on singer/song writer Bob Dylan who wrote the song that the title of this film is based.
How is Vincent based on Bob Dylan?
Vincent is a former commando, who was used as a human guinea pig, and is now insane. Bob Dylan is a folk singer.
How is that anything like Bob Dylan?
Vincent isn't drawn to look like Dylan, either.
I get that the original subtitle of the movie is a Bob Dylan song title, but that's entirely in keeping with the way the episodes were titled, with the names of songs that fit the plot and/or theme of the episode. In this case, with the population of an entire planet facing murder at the hands of a terrorist, and with that terrorist seeking oblivion, "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" is an appropriate title.
But unless there's a quote someplace from Shinichiro Watanabe that says, "Vincent is based on/inspired by Bob Dylan," I just don't see it.
