When does the movie take place in terms of the TV show?

I just finished watching Bebop on Cartoon Network the other day and watched the movie today. In the special features the director said the story of the movie was original taken from a concept for an episode in the show. I was just wondering if you were going to place the movie in the timeline of the TV series what episode would it be after?
I know there probably isn't an actual answer I was just curious. I want to show the series to my brother and I think it would be better to end the show with the final episode than the movie.
