Wow is the soundtrack to this movie good or what?

So I first saw this movie years ago and instantly became a fan. I soon went out and bought the TV show (oops on me for watching this movie before the TV show).

I watched the movie again about a month ago, and I noticed that a few of the songs were kind of catchy. "Cosmic Dare" was fun for a poppy song. "Diggin'" was pretty neat even if it was a little bit country. Of course, the theme song "Ask DNA" is pretty cool.

I watched parts of the movie again, and those songs really started to grow on me. So I checked out the rest of the soundtrack. I first amazed to learn that all three songs were by the same band, and that the entire soundtrack is by the same band, The Seatbelts, which I knew had done the TV opening and closing theme songs.

I started "listening" to the soundtrack on Youtube and wow it rocks. "What Planet is this?" is a really cool song. "7 Minutes" is pretty cool too, and watching the movie again, the song really added to the movie (the water-treatment plant scene). But the best of all, "Yo Pumpkin Head" is just all kinds of awesome. I find myself humming it or attempting to whistle it practically all day. To think I didn't even notice it the first two times I saw the parade scene.

Anyone else a fan of this awesome movie's awesome soundtrack? And can I buy it anywhere? I checked on iTunes but no luck.

Remember we had that conversation about trying to cut back on things that aren't necessities?
Like it was yesterday.
It was this morning.

Extremely late response, but yes, of course plenty of us are fans of Bebop's soundtrack. The Seatbelts was formed for the purpose of performing music for Cowboy Bebop, so that's all their work consists of. Stuff intended for Bebop. There's only one or two songs used throughout the entirety of Bebop that wasn't made by The Seatbelts.

Also may want to check out this thread on Reddit citing inspirations for some of the songs you listed:

Wish I could remember the inspiration for Diggin'.

Bebop (the show and film) has the greatest soundtrack of all time in my opinion.
