Wrongful Life

I don't typcally watch Law & Order: CI but I decided to pick a random episode last night and it turned out to be Wrongful Life. It was well done and the whole concept was horrifying. The mom just had the kids to keep her rich husband around but clearly didn't give a crap about them.

I felt bad for the son because he was trying to take care of his sister with Spinabiffida (sorry if I spelled that wrong) because she's otherwise neglected by their mother.

And the sister, good lord I felt bad for her. I mean I wouldn't want my mom to file a law suit pretty much saying that she would've aborted me if she knew I had a defect. Even if she claimed that the money was for me.

Yeah, LOCI is pretty good at bringing through disturbing moral issues from weird crime scenes. One of the reasons I love it and watch episodes more than once-it's clever, layered, and doesn't do easy (at least very often!).
