What happened to Goren?

I haven't seen all the episodes yet but I keep getting bits and pieces on the storyline where he goes undercover as a mentally ill person. What happened there? I saw part of an episode today and he was alone driving in a car but I didn't get all of what was going on. Also, if you know the season or episode titles dealing with this, I'd appreciate it.

Thank you very much. They have them available on the Amazon instant video thingy. Gotta check them out.

They are showing reruns of this series on a station here in TX called "ION," in case you get that. I think Amazon Instantwatch charges for these episodes, doesn't it? Netflix & Hulu Plus sometimes have tv shows for free that Amazon charges for.

It wasn't a mental ward. Goren managed to get himself incarcerated in a prison, Tates, which had section for mentally disturbed people.
