It started off good, what the hell happend?!?(Spoilers )

Man I thought this movie was a throw back to that classic, middle of nowhere/hillbilly nut job, type horror. I was wrong, very wrong. It started off well, the whole hunters coming outta the woods scene was well written. The whole scene got me nervous. I thought Jake Weber (the father) and Patricia Clarkson (the mom) did a great job, the acting was very convincing. I thought there was a good set up, but it led nowhere. The Wendigo wasn't even a major part of the story. In the end its in play but it seems forced. I mean what the hell was it? The kids imagination, the kids phsycic, the wendigo is real, was it a dream, what!!!!????? IDK but this was just strange. There was really no suspense to speak of. The dad getting shot was a surprise, but really led nowhere. It was alot of specualting, but it turns out just to be Otis nothing shocking there. The dad dies, which really pissed me off. Then the wendigo get revenge for the kid, or because that guy killed to many derr, or who knows, but it messes up Otis. Otis doesnt die, he comes in the hospital lokks at the kid adn the show blood on the hads of the little figure in the kids hands. WOW eerie (insert fart sound) not. I dont know what happend to this movie but the first have was really good then just dissolved. Maybe there is something im missing, or the writter got carried away, or what but it blew.
