Today was the 1st time I have seen this movie as an adult and the one thing that bothered me was that they don't tell you the Dads heritage at all. I get that he was born n raised in Cleveland, Ohio but his family obvious comes from somewhere in Europe. Anyone have a guess??
shareIt always bugged me that they never specified the dad's heritage passed him being born and raised in Cleveland, especially since that seemed to be an important theme in the movie. Yeah, we get it, you were from Cleveland but where did your family come from before they settled there.

Eh. Probably such a mixed heritage that it didn't matter. Can't expect TOO much complexity from a film written for kids.
