Made me cry.

Im a 23 year old male from the UK and this film made me cry. Not really because it was sad, I think it was the character he was playing and the way he played it. Saw this in Australia when I was on holiday there and recently ordered it from playusa.com as it isnt available in the UK. This is a must for anybody!

'I walk like a drunken sailor already.' Bill Porter, when offered vodka.

Good man! I didn't order this, but happened to come across it in the used dvds bin at the local Hollywood Video store [American movie rental chain]. I grabbed it as I knew when I saw this movie on TV, I wanted it for my collection.
You can loan this to anyone! There is no way anyone could not enjoy this hearwarming story. And the excellent cast makes it all the more enjoyable! Glad to hear folks in UK and Australia also got to enjoy this. Now as for me, I really need to go see 'My Left Foot' [blushes to admit this ]

No need to blush about watching "My left foot". As Daniel Day Lewis said when he collected his oscar for best Actor for it "this has the makings of one hell of a weekend in Dublin"

"My son, Christy Brown. Genius"

"There's too much hope in that voice"

It chokes me up even thinking about it!
