Is Bill Porter still alive?

We watched something in History class about Bill Porter and considering her was pretty old (and we watched a Paula Zahn show or something from 95) I was wondering if he's doing well.

I'm going to assume he is as well. I went to the mentioned site and had trouble finding the page where Bill himself is mentioned. After entering 'Watkins Bill Porter' in Google, came up with this page

I'm going to look for this book. But I'd really love to come across a book based on the screenplay, 'Door to Door'. A book that goes into more detail about the people in this great story. Especially about the Porter family before the movie begins.

i saw him at Dairy Queen earlier today. he was enjoying a burger and fries. so yeah, he's alive.

yes he's a live he's 76 now.

Sweet story, what a lovely gentleman :) William H. Macy was wonderful too.

Not too well now, he died in Dec. of last year.
