I've got the UK dvd of 24 hour party people and wanted to know if anyone can name the song from the chapter menu - it's ambient with strings/synths and a female opera sample? much appreciated!

I believe the track you guys are asking about is "Otis" by Durutti Column.

If it doesn't work:

1) go to www.allmusic.com

2) search dialog box switch to "album"

3) enter "24 Hour Party People"

4) pick first entry in string of search returns - should be soundtrack to the movie

5) scroll down once you get to page for soundtrack - you'll see little speakers, which are sample clips of each song

6) click on sample for track 8

7) enjoy!

i dont think it is this song, the song we search is more electronic , isnt it ?

Great song but no, it's not this. It's has a slow piano line and what sounds like a sample (?) of a woman singer.

I think it is "Belfast" by Orbital. Check out their 1991 self-titled album, it should be the first song on most releases.
