Ian Curtis !!!Spolier!!

I hope no one actually needs that spolier but you never can tell about some people. Anyway, what are peoples views on his suicide?. Joy division where long before my time and i first discovered there music fully aware of Ians fate, so it was just a part of the whole mythology to me untill a few days ago, whilest watching the video to atmosphere which i have many times before when i felt an intense sadnesses about the whole thing. Could he have contiuned to give more, or was it the right thing to do for him, in terms of him finally being at peice? Im interested to hear anyones views, particularly those of people who where fans of joy division at the time he did it. Thanks.

I don't think you can ever really know in cases like this. He probably could have given more, you know...you just can't know.

Who knows? He was the person who played Kraftwerk albums to the rest of the band who have admitted them as the inspiration for the synths of New Order.

More than likely, JD would have evolved musically in the same way as New Order. Whether Ian would have been able to stay or not will never be known.
