Curious regarding the second season

Just started Witchblade and was curious about something post-9/11 in Season 2. With the time travel retcon, do the episodes still show images of the two towers in the New York skyline and the writers go out of their way to avoid referencing 9/11? I can't figure out if they'd still be set in November 2000 up to August 2001 or if there's a time jump after the Season 2 premier.
